The Belt of Truth
The belt of truth is the first armor piece we are introduced to in Ephesians. Without this truth none of the other armor will be of use to us. It is a piece of armor that we have on at all times and leads us away from a walk in darkness and into the light.
It allows us to discern between truth and the lies of this world. So often we encounter false teachers, and the enemy can speak not only through them but through our own self talk. When we know God's word we are able to detect these lies and live in the truth.
We pray to live a life in truth so that we may cultivate a relationship with God and be set free from the lies and darkness of the world. We pray our love leads us to spending more time with him and immersing ourselves in his truth.
