Sword of the Spirit
The sword is our only weapon that serves both defensively and offensively. This piece of armor represents the word of God, not our own. It is the Spirit who uses Scripture to speak into our hearts and transform our minds. The sharper we forge this weapon with dedication and practice, the more effective it becomes in our spiritual battles. Knowing how to wield this weapon correctly and discerning when to use it is essential. We love the fact that God's word is our only offensive weapon within the armor of God.
We pray for the discipline to sharpen this weapon and the discernment to know when to use it. Thank you, Lord, for giving us the living Word, so that we may take the offensive against all attacks that come our way.
